Charge port repair
Will not charge, the cable falls out, or it only works if you hold it just so. Call with your make and model and we will give you a price — or walk in and we will look at it while you wait.
What we actually do
The first thing we check is whether the port needs replacing at all. A pocket lives a hard life, and a connector packed solid with lint stops the cable seating properly — it feels exactly like a failed port and it is not one.
If it is the port, it is a part and a soldered or connected assembly depending on the phone. We will tell you which yours is.
Bring the cable and plug you normally use. A surprising number of charging faults are the cable, and that is a thirty-second answer rather than a repair.
Signs it is the charge port
- Nothing happens when you plug in
- The cable only charges at an angle
- It charges slowly or stops and starts
- The cable feels loose in the socket
- It charges on one cable but not another
- Debris visible in the port
Worth fixing, or not?
Yes. A phone that cannot charge is a phone you cannot use, and this is one of the most common repairs there is — often a clean rather than a part.
What it costs
Prices vary from phone to phone, and by model. Posting one number here would get it wrong for most people reading it.
So just ask. One call with your make and model and you have your price.
Phones we work on
iPhone, Samsung, Motorola, Google Pixel, LG, TCL, Nokia and more. Not sure yours is on the list? Call and ask — we see plenty that aren't.
